Tax Agent Program

Your membership with Tax & Super Australia is now an exclusive pathway to a rewarding career as a practicing tax agent

We’ve joined forces with Applied Education, a registered training provider, to offer you this exciting step into a new arm of the industry.

By assuming a suitable underlying accounting qualification, completing two prescribed courses – Australian tax law and commercial law - alongside your work experience, you will be eligible to register as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioner’s Board (TPB) and vastly broaden the scope of your professional expertise in a matter of months.

A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED qualification, earned at your OWN PACE

Tax and Super Australia’s subsidiary, TAI Practitioners and Advisers Limited (TAI PAL), provides you with the confidence to practice as a registered tax agent. TAI PAL is a registered tax agent association recognised with the TPB. If you are not a tax agent and would like to offer more services to your firm or clients, becoming an associate member of TAI PAL and registering for the Applied Education units is an essential step.

SIMPLE STEPS to professional practice

Once you have passed the prerequisite subjects with Applied Education, you can apply to the TPB to become a registered tax agent. Then, by joining TAI PAL as a fellow, you’ll make a crucial industry partner and access a host of benefits to further your success in practice.

EQUIP YOURSELF with the tools to succeed

You will receive your own practicing certificate and post-nominals, as well as your CPE / CPD hours for every year. All the content you need will be yours.

As part of the Tax Agent Program you will receive a practice management tool kit to cover you for standard correspondence requests and disclaimers. We have a special arrangement with Accountancy Insurance for cost effective professional indemnity insurance to provide further assistance.

We will help you bear your compliance burden and provide the tools to maintain your registration at membership prices.

With Tax and Super Australia and Applied Education, you will have the tools, expertise, and security to build strong business relationships with your clients and provide productive financial solutions for years to come.
