Defending a tax position

This webinar will cover the tips and tricks of defending a tax position when it is challenged by a revenue authority. Specifically, this session will address the following questions:
  • To what extent can a taxpayer rely on public or private rulings? Are there any other sources of information that a taxpayer can rely on?
  • How should you write to a revenue authority?  Are there any specific writing tips?
  • What information is the Commissioner able to access?  Are there any grounds to deny the Commissioner access to information or documentation?
