Deceased estates (Advanced)

This session addresses the following key areas of concern which must be navigated by executors and administrators dealing with more complicated estates including the merits of beneficiaries entering into a deed of family arrangement to resolve disputes without triggering CGT.

It will also discuss the added tax complications on assets disposals where the either the trustee or the beneficiary is a non-resident, the variable tax implications arising from the payment of superannuation death benefits and the tax rules applicable to testamentary trusts including the impact of recent legislative amendments
