TAI PAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
David Scott, President and Chair
Mr David Scott is a chartered accountant with over 35 years’ experience in the accounting profession. He has worked in commerce across Australia, the UK and Germany and is currently a Senior Associate with Pascoe Whittle Chartered Accountants in Sydney specialising in business services.
Mr Scott is currently President and Chair of TAI PAL and has been a Director of the Board of Taxpayers Research Foundation Ltd since February 2008.
Kurtis Alaeddin, Treasurer
Kurtis Alaeddin is Managing Partner at Komplete Accounting Group.
He has a Masters of Commerce, Bachelor of Business (Accounting) & Certificate IV in Risk Management. He is also a Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and a NSW Justice of the Peace.
Mr Alaeddin has been a Director of the Board of TAI PAL since 2017, and also holds the position of Secretary of the Ethics Committee.
Mr Alaeddin has been associated with the Macarthur Accounting Discussion Group (MADG) for the past six and half years, serving as President, Treasurer and Executive Committee Member. During this tenure his main objective for the group has been to maintain the highest level of professional standards and compliance for the Accountants within the Macarthur area. He also maintained and built the strategic alliances with University of Western Sydney, TAFE (Western Sydney) and the Macarthur Law Society (MLS).
Other board experience includes Meals on Wheels (MOW) for 3 years. During this time he served on the Risk & Compliance Committee where he was accountable for bringing the Risk Management Assessment in line with the International Risk & Compliance Standards.
Terry Blenkinsop
Terry Blenkinsop is a Board member of Taxpayers Australia Limited, TAI PAL’s parent organisation.
He has been a Partner since 1985 of the Perth office of mid-tier accounting firm HLB Mann Judd.
His role within the firm is a Partner in the Business Services Division which provides all round accounting and business advisory advice to small to medium to large size local business owners.
He also heads up the International Business Team in the office providing assistance to international investors and Australian businesses going international.
Prior to March 1985 he was a Partner in the firm Middleton & Partners. He undertook his initial work years at Fell & Starkey (now EY) and completed his professional year to become a Chartered Accountant.
Terry has been a Board member of Taxpayers Australia Limited for a number of years including holding the position of Chair from 2010 to 2012 and has held the position of Treasurer since July 2014.
Stephen Ware
A senior executive with fifteen years’ experience leading industry associations, Mr Ware’s expertise includes lobbying and political liaison at state and federal level. He also brings strategic and practical experience in the development and implementation of operational and financial management of organisations together with strong corporate governance skills.
Mr Ware is the current President of Taxpayers Australia Limited (TAL), TAI PAL’s parent organisation, and is also a Director of the Gallipoli Memorial Club Limited, and Secretary of the Taxpayers Research Foundation Limited.
Mark Dodds
Mr Dodds is Principal of Being Wealthywise, based in Queensland.
Holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), he is a Certified Practicing Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, Chartered Tax Adviser and Business & Financial Adviser. His knowledge and expertise gained over many years as a Practitioner in taxation, superannuation and accounting brings great experience to TAI PAL.
Mr Dodds is currently Vice-President of TAL, TAI PAL’s parent organisation.
